School Based Testing

South Kitsap School District continues our dedication to helping stop the spread of COVID-19 while keeping our students in class and our schools open for in-person learning. Following the guidelines of the Washington Department of Health and in partnership with Kitsap Public Health District, SKSD is offering testing for staff and students.

To provide prompt testing for students who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or are a close contact to someone with COVID-19, Rapid COVID-19 antigen testing is available for staff and students as indicated by the Symptom Flow Chart. Please see "How to Access Testing" below. Students and staff may continue to attend class and activities unless they are symptomatic or test positive.

How is the testing done?

Where is testing done?

Rapid COVID-19 testing is available at each school campus. Results will be available within 15 minutes. If the test result is negative, students can go back to class. If the test result is positive, they will be isolated, and you will be contacted to pick them up immediately and they will need to isolate at home for minimum of 5 days.

If your student develops symptoms during their quarantine, PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR STUDENT TO SCHOOL, ACCESS A COMMUNITY TESTING SITE.

How to access testing?
